Bali Day #15, July 21st, 2013 Jalan-Jalan Denpasar

Today is the official start of shopping.  All of the temple, beach and sacred site visits are over.  Family, shopping and eating are foremost on the mind.

This is our tourist trip to Denpasar (Jalan-Jalan).

Bird contest.  That's all we could figure out.  We thought originally it was a real cock fight and boy were we disappointed.

Chris and I had lunch at this really great Bakso stand near the Bird Contest.

Bakso stand with Chef.

I had Bakso and Mie Ayam.  Think small bowls.

My wife on her pink 125 Scoopy.

Kiddies at their fav place.

Alex finds a play friend.

Dominoes for dinner.  Needed American food.

BBQ Chicken Pizza.  Not much Chicken and pretty expensive.

A bowl of chicken feet soup.  Nope, not for me.  I had to snap it though.

11pm at night and the kids are hungry.  Off for some Soto Ayam (chicken soup).

Bali Day #12, July 18th, 2013, Diving, Turtles and the Beach Part 2 of 3 TURTLES

We took a boat trip over to "Turtle Island".  Not really an island but they want you to think you need to take their boat and it is the only way to the location.  They really have the tourism thing figured out.  When we arrived, we found out it's a minimum of $1/US per person for entry.  No worries.  They issued us pay vouchers that we took back to pay at the dive facility.  All gripes aside, our tour guide here was the best we had the entire trip outside of her family.  Never asked for a thing.  We gave him a generous tip.  Without his help, these pictures would not have been possible.

Bali Day #12, July 18th, 2013, Diving, Turtles and the Beach Part 3 of 3 BEACH

We took these pictures on Jimbarin Beach, the same place we took the wedding photos.  Enjoy.

The best Bali Sunset.  I posted this to Facebook.

Bali Day #13, July 19th, 2013, Fishing for the Wealthy...

Poor men fish all day and catch nothing.  For those with the financial means, you can fish from a stocked pond.  I still do like fishing but this makes it easier.  Sweet Pea caught 2 fish.   Bli Made caught 1 fish.  You have to pay an admission fee to tent the fishing poles.  Then you pay for the fish by the kilo.  The price includes them gutting/cleaning the fish and cooking it for you.  It tasted pretty good but was bony.  We fished for Carp.

Enjoy.

I wore my Virginia Beach Fishing Hat for good luck.  Didn't work.
