The Biggest Welcome from the Biggest Family

As soon as we landed, it seemed like the entire plane got up at once to disembark.  We grabbed our luggage and took off.  Deeky Doo decided to drag her own suitcase which slowed us down considerably.  Everyone was running past us and soon I found out why.

The lines in immigration were long.  It included everyone on our flight.  We had already filled out the forms on the flight so our paperwork was ready.  We continued to walk towards immigration but when we turned a corner in the airport, we ran into my wife's uncle, Pak Lot.

This particular Uncle runs immigration in Bali.  He took our papers and ran them through immigration including the inbound passport stamps. We then proceeded to baggage claim and retrieved ALL of our checked luggage.  While at baggage claim, my wife had to take Alex to the bathroom.  She left her waist bag in the restroom.  Lucky for her no one took it as she found it hanging on one if the doors in the bathroom stalls.

After we made it through customs, we went into the arrivals and met about 20-25 of Sani's relatives who (by this time it was 2am local) had come to the airport to welcome all of us.

We met with them for a few minutes and then we split off to go to the hotel.  Our luggage was split across several vehicles.  We all went in the same vehicle, a Toyota minibus.

It took about 20 minutes to leave because there was only 2 gates open to process parking fees.  We were heading to Sari Segara Resort Spa, the place we stayed last time we were in Bali.
